When extended families come together, it’s a fun time to plan a group portrait. When photographing a full family, I take shots of individuals and smaller combinations in addition to the whole group, so it’s like each family unit getting their own mini-session. Since a great full-family portrait is precious and hard to come by, I’ll often digitally composite several photos to get just the right look.
