I like using natural light photography for most family sessions, and I have found a number of great locations around Grand Rapids that work wonderfully for capturing great family portraits. When photographing a full family, I take shots of individuals and smaller combinations in addition to the whole group. Since a great full-family portrait is precious and hard to come by, sometimes I’ll even digitally composite several photos to get just the right look.
